John Wilkins's Prep Station

Lesley Kool has been teaching John Wilkins how to prepare our fossils
Busy busy busy
. John has set up a workstation at home complete with a homemade reflector to concentrate the light.  I look forward to be able to report on what he discovers.

Paul Chedgey's workstation

I spoke to long time volunteer Paul Chedgey when I was in the museum the other day and he showed me this photo of the rock-breaking station he had built in his back yard.  Not all the fossil-finding excitement happens on the dig itself.  Between digs, Paul and others like him break down a lot of the offcuts and rejected fossils.  This so reminds me of the Inverloch breaking stations, except that the chair is better and there is no tubby stool next to it holding a cup of tea.
