On Saturday we spent a day in Mike's garage on Phillip Island looking through some fine-grained rock from near Koonwarra.
We found some pretty plants and 2 partial fish, but no insects (although we have one leaf that looks a bit like an insect wing...) and definitely no feathers or tetrapod bones. And an enigmatic "String of Pearls" from Mary.
And I was pretty impressed with the way the lunchtime minestrone soup turned out.
